The Basics
In addition to these features, the Malibu has some basics that we need to cover. First, the trims. You can choose from four in 2025. These are the LS, the RS, the 1LT and the 2LT. They obviously have some differences when it comes to luxury and convenience features, with the higher trims having the most, but each one has a 1.5L turbo engine that gets 160 hp and 184 pound-feet of torque. You get a continuously variable transmission that gives you a smooth ride and good responsiveness when you press on the gas pedal.
